Fifth Meeting of the International Strategic Council of Lorestan University
Putting the Emphasis on Strengthening the International Infrastructure of the University
The promotion of the international scientific diplomacy of Lorestan University and the strengthening of the necessary infrastructure to expand the level of international scientific cooperation of the university are among the priorities of the University Management Team.
At present, regarding the concerted efforts and plans, 150 non-Iranian students are studying at Lorestan University, and it has been agreed to establish the consular affairs office of non-Iranian students at Lorestan University, which is a successful step to strengthen the international dimensions of universities in Lorestan province.
In this regard, the fifth meeting of the International Strategic Council of Lorestan University was chaired by Dr. Khosrow Azizi, President of Lorestan University.
At this meeting, which was held on Sunday morning, January 12, at the presidential office of the university in the presence of the university board and other university administrators, Dr. Azizi called for the further expansion of various academic, scientific, and research collaborations between Lorestan University and universities of other countries, especially Islamic countries.
The president of Lorestan University said: Lorestan University had no foreign students in 2013, while now, according to the concerted plans, this university has 150 non-Iranian students.
"In addition to attracting non-Iranian students, the necessary and sufficient infrastructure at Lorestan University should be further strengthened to develop the international scientific diplomacy," he stressed.
It is worth mentioning that at this meeting, other members also expressed their views for strengthening the international indicators of Lorestan University.
