The Veterinary Medicine Faculty was originally founded as an Education department in 1993 and it started its activity as a part of Agriculture Faculty with the admission of students at associate degree. Following the development of the department, the Laboratory Sciences course at B.A degree was added. The same year also promoted from the Veterinary department to the faculty of Veterinary Medicine. In this regard, a comprehensive plan in order to construction of Veterinary Medicine with 6000 square meters in Kamalvand campus predicted and designed, which consisted of three phases A, B, C. Phase A opened in 2012. In this phase, faculty rooms, laboratories, parasitology, pathology, bacteriology, PCR, immunology, physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry and anatomy hall equipped and became usable. Also, in 2011 the expansion board of higher education approved to accept students at Ph.D. level. Furthermore, in 2012 the Parasitology and bacteriology courses have been added. Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has completed its faculty members that have reached to 25 faculty members, including permanent, contract and PhD scholarships with different trends. Meanwhile, phases B and C have the necessary credit for development of the faculty. In phase B, an amphitheater hall and four classes have been predicted and in phase C, office building and the rooms have been considered. This faculty has a good green space and a separate parking.
