Deputy of Student Affairs

Deputy of Student Affairs is the pioneer in providing service to the students and is responsible for housing nearly 2,000 female and 704 male students in public dormitories, 500 students in autonomous dormitories and providing online credit charge and food reservation service to all students and cooking and serving 5,000 dishes daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner with nutritional diversity and distributing them in the dining halls and dormitories, providing regular transportation for students by 24 buses and controlling the traffic of students’ transportation vehicles using GPS system.

Some of the most important duties of this division are listed below:

  • Enforcing the policies of the University Council concerning Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs’ Office
  • Enforcing the policies of the Board of Directors of the university concerning Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs’ Office
  • Monitoring the activities of the centers and departments under its supervision
  • Organizing the meetings of the Preliminary Disciplinary Committee (as Chairman)
  • Organizing the meetings of the Appeal Disciplinary Committee (as Secretary)
  • Reviewing the issues of the students with special circumstances in the university’s Commission of Special Cases and that of the province (as Secretary of the Commission)
  • Monitoring, controlling and following up the resolutions of the committees and commissions under supervision of this division
  • Aligning the activities of the centers and departments of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs’ office with the policies of the university, Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and the government
  • Supervising the accounting activities of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs’ office
  • Supervising the offices of Student Services, Welfare Fund, Dormitories, Food Arrangements, Extracurricular Activities and Physical Education, Healthcare and Student Counseling
  • Directing the ongoing affairs and coordinating the activities of subordinate units
  • Planning, division of labor, and scheduling the activities of subordinate units
  • Reviewing and making decision for the issues raised by the students
  • Composing and proposing various student regulations and supervising their proper execution
  • Supervising the performance of all issues delegated to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs’ office per bylaws of the university
  • Performing other tasks entrusted by the Chancellor of the university
